This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.
• Drive expansion through collaboration with customers, the development of new applications, and the commercialization of new products.
• Create compelling value propositions to facilitate effective commercialization.
• Coordinate customer field trials and assess local competitors and marketing strategies.
• Develop and replicate product and market applications utilizing e-tools.
• Provide technical and application engineering support directly to customers across the Personal Safety Division portfolio in New Zealand.
• Conduct visits to customers, perform workplace assessments, and evaluate applications.
• Comprehend workplace hazards and customer needs to offer product selection and technical recommendations.
• Assist with product demonstrations, field trials, performance evaluations, troubleshooting, and implementation.
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing on strategic customer initiatives and major account conversions.
• Aid in the development of distributors and channel partners.
• Gather customer insights, market intelligence, unmet needs, and feedback on applications.
• Support customer trials, field evaluations, product validation, transitions, changes, and launch readiness.
• Deliver training sessions for customers, distributors, and internal sales, including technical seminars and application workshops.
• Assist in the investigation of technical complaints, perform root-cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and maintain customer communication.
• Contribute to product certification and compliance efforts and provide technical input regarding applicable standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related technical field.
• Relevant experience in Application Engineering, Technical Service, Industrial Safety, PPE, or a related technical area.
• Experience in customer-facing technical positions and working with distributors/channel partners.
• Familiarity with product evaluations, New Product Introductions (NPI), technical training, and resolving complaints.
• Knowledge of pertinent PPE standards and regulatory requirements is advantageous.
• Strong capabilities in application engineering and technical problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to understand workplace hazards and suggest suitable technical solutions.
• Comprehensive understanding of PPE and Personal Safety applications.
• Ability to influence and collaborate across Sales, Marketing, R&D, Quality, and Regulatory teams.
• Strong project management and organizational abilities.
• Capacity to work independently across a geographically diverse customer base.
• Willingness to travel for business regularly, primarily to Auckland, with occasional trips to other regional locations as necessary.
