This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Deliver expert technical assistance for customer inquiries related to Altera (Intel) FPGA.
• Collaborate with Field Application Engineers, sales personnel, and clients for effective technical interaction and prompt follow-up.
• Assist customers with FPGA designs that encompass RTL design, custom IP creation, platform and device transitions, and system optimization.
• Work alongside software and hardware engineers on intricate, multidisciplinary customer design initiatives.
• Evaluate customer designs at the RTL and architectural levels, offering guidance that aligns with Altera FPGA best practices.
• Contribute to New Product Introduction efforts by creating benchmarks, reference designs, demonstrations, and proof points for Altera FPGA devices and technologies.
• Serve as a technical resource and mentor to junior team members.
• Continuously enhance solutions, services, and processes by applying best practices and an understanding of business drivers.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical area.
• Over 6 years of practical experience in FPGA design or applications engineering.
• Strong emphasis on Altera (Intel) FPGA devices and their respective toolchains.
• Proficient in industry-standard FPGA development environments, which include RTL design, simulation, synthesis, timing analysis, and debugging.
• Practical experience with measurement and laboratory tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power measurement techniques.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Capability to foster relationships with internal stakeholders and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Customer-oriented, solution-focused mindset with robust problem-solving abilities and a drive for achieving results.
• Self-driven and proactive, capable of working independently as well as part of a global team.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight.
