Lead, Field Application Engineer - Europe

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Denmark, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Lead and manage the Field Application Engineer team to convert customer application requirements into technically viable solutions.

• Negotiate customer preferences and requirements in relation to Molex's capabilities.

• Establish robust working relationships with customer engineering teams and serve as a reliable technical advisor.

• Collaborate with account managers, territory managers, the GSM team, and Distribution to ensure adequate technical support for account priorities.

• Coordinate cross-functional teams spanning engineering, product line management, supply chain, and customer service to provide integrated solutions.

• Address customer and sales inquiries prior to involving internal cross-functional team members.

• Offer consistent feedback to product management regarding product challenges and potential opportunities.

• Aid in the creation of technical support materials such as white papers or videos.

⛳️ Requirements

• Based in the UK or Nordics.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.

• At least 2 years of engineering experience, including leadership or team lead responsibilities.

• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, environmental, and EMI/EMC requirements.

• Familiarity with aerospace and defense standards and qualifications.

• Capability to lead technical design reviews and discussions.

• Proficiency in managing technical escalations.

• Ability to mentor and provide technical leadership to other Field Application Engineers.

• Strong coordination skills with Account Managers, Territory Managers, the GSM team, Product Management, Quality, and Operations.

• Commercial awareness to identify design-in opportunities and future business prospects.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills for customer interactions.

• Experience in aerospace & defense, industrial, electronics, or related technical markets.

• Background in leading or developing Field Application Engineer teams in a territory-based model.

• Extensive knowledge in connector/interconnect engineering.

• Strong technical aptitude to collaborate effectively with product management, quality, and operations.
