This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Deliver specialized technical assistance for customer inquiries related to Altera (Intel) FPGA.
• Collaborate with Field Application Engineers, field sales, and clients to facilitate technical cooperation and prompt follow-up.
• Assist customers with FPGA designs that include RTL design, custom IP creation, platform and device migration, and system-level optimization.
• Work alongside software and hardware engineers on intricate, multidisciplinary design projects for clients.
• Evaluate customer designs at both the RTL and architecture levels, offering guidance consistent with Altera FPGA best practices.
• Contribute to New Product Introduction efforts by developing benchmarks, reference designs, demonstrations, and proof points for the latest Altera FPGA devices and technologies.
• Serve as a technical consultant for customers, ensuring the success of FPGA-based designs.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Over 6 years of practical experience in FPGA design or applications engineering.
• Strong emphasis on Altera (Intel) FPGA devices and associated toolchains.
• Experience with FPGA development environments, encompassing RTL design, simulation, synthesis, timing analysis, and debugging.
• Practical experience with measurement and laboratory equipment, such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
• Capacity to foster relationships with internal stakeholders and communicate efficiently across all organizational levels.
• Strong analytical skills with a customer-centric, solution-focused attitude.
• Ability to operate independently as well as collaboratively within a global team.
• Comprehensive technical knowledge and hands-on experience with Altera FPGA technologies.
• Capability to tackle complex technical challenges and work with a high level of autonomy.
• Ability to function as a technical resource and mentor for less-experienced colleagues.
