This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +4 more states.
• Serve as the primary consultant on projects and conduct simulations for clients.
• Offer technical pre-sales assistance throughout the sales cycle.
• Collaborate with Rand Simulation sales teams regarding Ansys software and consulting opportunities related to simulations.
• Evaluate the technical needs, requirements, infrastructure, operations, and engineering workflows of prospects and customers.
• Ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of project outputs, product demonstrations, and support solutions.
• Clearly communicate Ansys’ value proposition, focusing mainly on fluid dynamics solutions and potentially its entire product lineup.
• Provide both basic and tailored Ansys training, mentoring, account follow-ups, and technical support.
• Assist clients in adopting Ansys technology to realize a return on investment.
• Keep abreast of Ansys platforms and enhance knowledge of Ansys tools through training and self-directed learning.
• Work in partnership with clients and sales teams as an extension of the client’s engineering team.
• M.S. or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field with a focus on fluid dynamics, heat transfer, or numerical methods.
• Over 3 years of industrial and design experience related to fluid systems.
• More than 3 years of experience with CFD methods.
• Proven experience with Ansys Fluent and/or CFX.
• Strong understanding of fluid dynamics and thermodynamics.
• Comprehensive knowledge of numerical methods, particularly in convergence stability, discretization, and physical and numerical assumptions in modeling.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to clearly explain situations and proposed solutions to clients.
• Demonstrated proficiency in 3D CAD software; experience with SolidWorks, Inventor, or Ansys SpaceClaim is preferred.
• Innovative mindset with an interest in cutting-edge simulation methodologies.
• Professional demeanor and strong business sense during client interactions.
• Sense of urgency, organizational, and self-management abilities.
• Commitment to personal technical excellence and high performance.
• Self-motivated individual with an engaging personality and high energy levels.
• Capability to prioritize and manage time effectively across multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to work independently while knowing when to seek assistance.
• Registered Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred, but not required.
• Willingness to travel up to 15%.
• Must have authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer without company sponsorship.
