Application Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Deliver advanced technical support for X-Rite hardware and software, addressing intricate color measurement and management issues.

• Collaborate with the Sales team during pre-sales efforts by offering technical advice, aiding in product selection, addressing technical inquiries, and showcasing product demonstrations.

• Execute product demonstrations, training sessions, and webinars for clients both remotely and on-site.

• Grasp customer applications and develop or assist in workflows that incorporate X-Rite solutions into their operations.

• Work alongside R&D and Product Development by relaying customer insights, product performance feedback, areas for improvement, and requests for new features.

• Generate and update technical documentation, including application notes, user manuals, and best-practice guidelines.

• Travel to client locations throughout Spain and Portugal for installations, troubleshooting, and practical training.

• Occasionally attend trade shows and conferences.

• Act as a technical authority for X-Rite color management solutions across Iberia, collaborating with Sales, Customer Support, R&D, and clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical discipline.

• 3–5 years of experience in application engineering, technical support, or a comparable customer-facing technical position.

• Proven knowledge of color science and color management principles.

• Familiarity with color measurement technologies such as spectrophotometers and/or colorimeters.

• Understanding of digital imaging technologies and printing processes.

• Relevant industry experience, preferably in printing, packaging, textiles, automotive, or a related sector.

• Fluent in Spanish required.

• Professional-level proficiency in English required.

• Portuguese language skills preferred.

• Customer-facing technical experience is essential.

• Willingness to travel to client locations across Spain and Portugal, as well as to trade shows and conferences.
