Application Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Define, evaluate, and prioritize modernization roadmaps while taking into account cost and risk factors.

• Design software frameworks, systems, products, system interfaces, and prototypes for business applications.

• Identify and address weaknesses in framework design.

• Offer technical leadership to the application development team.

• Conduct design and code reviews.

• Uphold consistent enterprise-wide application design standards.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure architectural alignment with business requirements.

• Create and maintain documentation for software architecture and application designs.

• Document guidelines for component integration, testing, and other essential architectural elements.

• Discover opportunities for modernizing mainframe applications utilizing knowledge of legacy systems and cloud architecture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in architecture for large-scale customer change and transformation initiatives.

• Extensive knowledge and experience with hardware and software, particularly regarding connectivity between platforms.

• The Open Group - Master Certified Architect or an equivalent certification is preferred.

• Prior hands-on experience in a mainframe environment is preferred.

• Experience with Modernize On, Integrate With, and Move Off mainframe projects is preferred.

• Strong understanding of z/OS, IBM Software Products, and third-party mainframe software is preferred.

• Candidates must possess authorization to work without the need for employer-sponsored work authorization.
