Application Analyst, Clinical Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Evaluate clinical, business, and technical processes and challenges to propose new or improved systems.

• Identify, assess, and develop efficient systems and procedures.

• Collect departmental requirements and prioritize development projects.

• Analyze workflows, suggest solutions, and implement application strategies.

• Convert departmental requests into functional business requirements.

• Conduct financial analyses, develop business plans, and perform impact assessments.

• Provide support to internal customers across clinical, administrative, financial, and operational sectors.

• Oversee system upgrades and manage small projects.

• Generate and maintain reports from integrated databases.

• Code applications, manage tables and profiles, create screens and pathways, and establish job run procedures.

• Serve as the communication link between designated departments and Prisma Health IS.

• Prepare and implement applications, including workflow analysis, design, programming/building, testing, training, and deployment.

• Develop timelines for implementation and address outstanding issues.

• Create test scenarios and schedules, coordinate integration testing, monitor performance, and track issues to resolution.

• Engage in disaster recovery planning.

• Complete assignments on schedule while ensuring data integrity and conducting regression testing.

• Develop training materials as necessary and evaluate curricula.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Two (2) years of relevant experience in a business, computer science, or clinical environment.

• In lieu of the educational and experience qualifications: An Associate degree in Computer Science or a related field along with four (4) years of relevant Information Technology experience may be considered.

• In lieu of the educational and experience qualifications: A High School Diploma or equivalent combined with seven (7) years of relevant Information Technology experience may be considered.

• CPHIMS certification is preferred.

• Knowledge of SQL databases is preferred.

• Familiarity with project management software, concepts, and tracking skills is preferred.

• Working knowledge of healthcare software applications is preferred.

• Skills in Perl, Java, XML, Linux, and Apache are preferred.

• HL/7 knowledge is preferred.
