This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Provide guidance and assistance to development teams in integrating and implementing API platforms within customer environments.
• Participate in design-first methodologies for API and event architecture.
• Aid in the development and improvement of CI/CD pipelines and automation processes.
• Contribute to testing strategies, with a focus on contract testing and integration testing.
• Collaborate directly with teams through pair programming, design pairs, workshops, training sessions, code reviews, and technical discussions.
• Set API standards, guidelines, and reusable components while establishing self-service platforms.
• Ensure high-quality APIs and consistent development practices across teams.
• Enhance your own API knowledge through structured learning, hands-on experience, and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Integrate technical implementation, knowledge transfer, and close teamwork.
• Work alongside project leads, product owners, business analysts, security engineers, operations teams, and testing teams.
• Several years of professional experience in software development, preferably with a concentration on automation or integration.
• Strong proficiency in an object-oriented programming language and common frameworks, such as Java and Spring Boot.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and contemporary development practices.
• Eagerness to actively and systematically learn about API-specific subjects like API design, API management, OpenAPI, and AsyncAPI; basic knowledge is necessary, while advanced knowledge is not mandatory.
• Experience in software testing, including contract testing and test pyramids.
• Enjoyment in knowledge sharing, team support, and designing training sessions.
• Willingness to take responsibility for teams, proactively shape initiatives, and empower others.
• Capability to articulate complex technical topics clearly and practically.
• Structured, pragmatic, and cooperative working style.
• Fluent in German, both spoken and written (C2 level).
• Proficient in English at C1 level.
