AP - Sustainability, Carbon Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Gather, assess, and organize client data related to energy, gas, and utilities.

• Evaluate electricity, gas, and fuel invoices across various client locations.

• Compute Scope 1, Scope 2, and pertinent Scope 3 emissions.

• Develop carbon footprint calculations and assist with Carbon Reduction Plans.

• Facilitate carbon reporting for clients in diverse industries.

• Ensure the accuracy of calculations and compliance with established reporting standards.

• Maintain documentation for audits, supporting materials, emissions databases, and organized project files.

• Aid in sustainability reporting, as well as ESG and environmental reporting projects.

• Investigate sustainability legislation, compliance obligations, and regulatory updates.

• Create client reports, presentation materials, charts, and summaries.

• Extract data from utility bills, invoices, and spreadsheets.

• Conduct data quality assurance checks and identify any missing or inconsistent information.

• Prepare documentation to support proposals and assist with client project research.

• Promote process improvement initiatives and contribute to automating reporting workflows with AI.

• Assume responsibility for progressively complex sustainability reporting as the business expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in sustainability, ESG, or environmental reporting.

• Background in preparing carbon calculations or emissions reporting.

• Strong analytical capabilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel.

• Comfortable handling large datasets.

• Ability to analyze utility invoices and consumption data.

• Proficient written English communication skills.

• Excellent organizational abilities.

• Capability to work autonomously.

• High level of precision.

• Experience with the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with Carbon Reduction Plans (CRPs) is highly desirable.

• Experience with Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions is highly desirable.

• Understanding of UK sustainability legislation is highly desirable.

• Experience in preparing SECR, PPN 06/21, or similar reporting is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of ISO 14064 or ISO 14001 is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with Power BI or similar reporting tools is highly desirable.

• Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT to enhance reporting workflows is highly desirable.
