
AP Specialist – Halt Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Support PCs in the timely and accurate resolution of stalled invoices in accordance with departmental standards.
• Communicate with PCs about stalled invoices and offer resolution suggestions to minimize both the stalled invoice count and aging percentage.
• Provide training and guidance to Corporate or PC staff on invoice processing and PO management within an electronic processing framework.
• Reach out to approximately 125 assigned locations daily to resolve halts.
• Address high volumes of emails within a 24-hour timeframe.
• Execute halt clearing related to multiple production reports.
• Report any processing errors encountered.
• Investigate and resolve aged and aging halts.
• Maintain a monthly average of 9% or lower for invoices that have been stalled for more than 45 days.
• Generate monthly halt accrual reports, applying GL coding to ensure precise financial reporting.
• Assist processors with adjustments related to receivers.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as directed by AP leadership.
• At least 2+ years of experience in a high-volume AP department.
• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or relevant coursework in accounting.
• Capability to work independently with a strong sense of urgency.
• Reliable, self-motivated individual who can multitask while maintaining a sharp attention to detail.
• A collaborative team member with a positive demeanor who is adaptable, flexible, and open to change.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Demonstrated research and critical thinking skills.
• Commitment to adhering to an accounting schedule (no time off at the end of the month and the first business day of the month).
• Intermediate skill level in Excel.
• Experience with AS400 is preferred.
• Must be capable of bending, squatting, crouching, and/or reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds or more as necessary for the role.
