Anti-Fraud Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kazakhstan, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Take charge of fraud and abuse analytics for loyalty, cashback, credit, and referral initiatives at Salmon Bank.

• Observe transactions and customer activities in cashback, promotional, referral, and credit products to detect emerging abuse trends.

• Develop and sustain SQL/Python-based reporting and monitoring across extensive transactional datasets.

• Formulate and evaluate hypotheses regarding possible abuse schemes.

• Investigate flagged instances and evaluate their financial repercussions.

• Calculate potential and actual losses, revenue implications, and abuse costs to prioritize solutions.

• Collaborate with Risk, Product, business, and product teams to address gaps through modifications to product terms, promotional guidelines, or cashback mechanics.

• Transform resolved cases into permanent alerts or triggers.

• Regularly review past cases to assess whether patterns have resurfaced.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in investigating and mitigating abuse in banking or financial programs, including cashback, credit cards/lines, promotions, referral initiatives, loyalty programs, or quasi-cash/transaction abuse.

• Practical experience in establishing continuous monitoring rather than one-time analyses.

• Proficient in SQL and Python (or equivalent scripting languages).

• Comfortable working directly with large transactional databases.

• Demonstrated ability to convert a hypothesis into a functioning monitoring system, beyond just a one-off report.

• Capability to work core collaboration hours from 12:00 to 6:00 PM Manila time (UTC+8).
