Announcer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho.

📋 Description

• Oversee announcements and control music playback for each performance.

• Relay schedule updates and public service announcements to keep attendees informed.

• Deliver engaging commentary and represent Spotlight Events, Inc. in a professional manner.

• Work closely with the Stage Manager to ensure seamless performance flow.

• Handle client music files to guarantee optimal playback quality.

• Set up and ensure proper functionality of analog mixing consoles, microphones, and speaker systems.

• Participate in live dance competitions and assist with event operations from January to July.

• Travel to regional and possibly national events.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience in live announcing, event hosting, theater, or performance (Required).

• Familiarity with setting up and operating live audio equipment (Preferred).

• Background in Dance, Sports, or Performing Arts (Preferred).

• Excellent reading and public speaking abilities (Required).

• Understanding of audio playback or live audio mixing on analog consoles (Preferred).

• Capability to troubleshoot live audio and computer systems (Preferred).

• Proficient in multi-tasking while maintaining a professional demeanor (Required).

• Proven experience working collaboratively within a team environment (Required).

• Must live within a reasonable distance from a U.S. international airport or hub.

• Travel is necessary during the event season (January–July).

• Ability to attend approximately 6–10 regional events annually, typically lasting 3–5 days.

• Potential to participate in 1–2 national events lasting 6–8 days.

• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and set up equipment.

• Willingness to share hotel accommodations with same-gender colleagues during event assignments.

• All new or first-year event staff must attend an audition and training session in Eagle, Idaho.
