Analyste financier, projets – Canada

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Monitor and report on the profitability of projects

• Collaborate with project teams, clients, and internal departments to guarantee financial performance and top-notch clinical research project management services

• Review client agreements and translate them into the internal costing framework

• Create and set up projects within project management and financial systems

• Prepare and upload project budgets and amendments that impact scope or timeline

• Identify and evaluate pricing for services outside the original scope

• Recognize revenue and expenses in accordance with Canadian GAAP and contractual obligations

• Prepare journal entries for accruals and project allocations

• Compare actual revenues and costs against budget and forecasts, pinpointing variances and their causes

• Compile and present financial reports for projects, including profit and loss statements, financial forecasts, accrual reports, and invoicing status

• Oversee project balance sheet accounts and ensure financial records are accurately maintained

• Review project invoicing and guarantee that all invoices are issued and settled at the conclusion of the study

• Serve as the main client contact for inquiries regarding invoicing

• Collaborate closely with project managers on project requirements and their financial impacts

• Offer financial guidance to project teams regarding budgets and cost management

• Facilitate financial review meetings with project managers and clients

• Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary financial documentation

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to enhanced financial processes and tools

• Perform other assigned duties as qualified or adequately trained

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field

• CPA certification is advantageous

• A minimum of 4 years’ experience in project accounting

• Exceptional knowledge of both spoken and written English

• Professional judgment coupled with demonstrated interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail

• Critical thinking and proactive problem-solving abilities

• Capability to manage multiple projects concurrently while adhering to deadlines

• Proficiency in financial management tools and office software, such as Excel, Power BI, and ERP

• Comfortable working in a constantly evolving environment

• Must possess legal authorization to work in Canada
