Analyst III, IT Asset Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Manage the complete lifecycle of IT software and hardware assets from their acquisition to disposal.

• Develop and uphold IT asset management policies and procedures.

• Perform regular audits to ensure compliance with asset management standards.

• Leverage the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and enhance IT asset management maturity using the Ivanti ITAM tool.

• Guarantee that IT assets adhere to organizational policies and regulatory standards.

• Collaborate with IT leadership to formulate plans for addressing noncompliance issues.

• Work alongside the security team to safeguard IT assets from potential threats and vulnerabilities.

• Build and sustain relationships with IT vendors and suppliers.

• Negotiate contracts and clarify licensing terms and requirements.

• Assess vendor performance and manage elevated risks.

• Provide guidance to IT leadership and budget owners on vendor licensing models, associated risks, and current trends.

• Collaborate with Sourcing and Legal teams on IT vendor onboarding and negotiation processes.

• Create reports detailing IT asset performance, utilization, and associated costs.

• Evaluate cost-effectiveness and return on investment (ROI) for IT assets.

• Offer data-driven recommendations to management utilizing industry insights.

• Counsel on Software as a Service (SaaS) and artificial intelligence (AI) licensing models, tracking, and expenses.

• Monitor metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of IT asset management.

• Oversee intricate processes and enterprise initiatives.

• Lead projects with organization-wide significance and engage with senior leadership.

• Provide mentorship and informal leadership to team members.

• Travel moderately, typically less than 5–10% of the time.

• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT Asset & Vendor Management or a related field.

• In-depth knowledge of licensing models, compliance frameworks, and lifecycle strategies.

• Strong financial expertise, including budgeting, forecasting, ROI analysis, and depreciation.

• Proven experience in leading audits and enterprise initiatives.

• Advanced skills in analysis, reporting, and data storytelling.

• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and provide mentorship to others.
