📋 Description

• Assist the Bank of Montreal's Enterprise Chief Data Office in promoting enterprise data management objectives.

• Convert governance goals, operational models, policies, and strategic initiatives into actionable plans, deliverables suitable for executives, governance documents, and measurable results.

• Engage in enterprise data strategy and governance projects through analysis, planning, stakeholder coordination, and execution support.

• Create presentations, briefing documents, dashboards, reports, and communications tailored for executive and stakeholder audiences.

• Oversee assigned deliverables, milestones, risks, dependencies, and action items across data strategy and governance initiatives.

• Examine information from diverse sources and consolidate findings into insights, recommendations, and support materials for decision-making.

• Spot opportunities to enhance governance processes, reporting capabilities, stakeholder involvement, and operational efficiency.

• Assist in the development, enhancement, implementation, and upkeep of enterprise data governance policies, standards, procedures, and associated artifacts.

• Investigate and analyze impacts, gaps, dependencies, and opportunities linked to governance, regulatory, and transformation initiatives.

• Document governance requirements, accountability frameworks, ownership structures, decision rights, and operational procedures.

• Contribute to governance reporting, metrics, monitoring, adoption tracking, and compliance support.

• Maintain governance documentation, inventories, repositories, and decision records.

• Organize governance forums, steering committees, working groups, and stakeholder engagements.

• Prepare agendas, materials, action tracking, follow-up items, charters, operational procedures, decision logs, and supporting documentation.

• Collaborate with business, technology, risk, compliance, and data management stakeholders to advance governance priorities and address implementation queries.

• Create communications, training materials, adoption resources, and readiness activities.

• Track stakeholder feedback, governance results, and adoption trends to pinpoint opportunities for continuous improvement.


⛳️ Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience in enterprise data management, data governance, business analysis, strategy execution, project delivery, risk management, change management, consulting, or related fields.

• Experience in supporting intricate cross-functional initiatives that involve multiple stakeholder groups.

• Proven experience in crafting executive-ready presentations, communications, reports, dashboards, or governance materials.

• Capacity to manage multiple priorities, distill complex information, and drive tasks to completion with minimal supervision.

• Familiarity with working in highly regulated sectors.

• Understanding of risk, compliance, regulatory, audit, and implementation factors.

• Knowledge of the fundamentals of enterprise data management and data governance.

• Familiarity with data governance frameworks, ownership, stewardship, and accountability concepts.

• Knowledge of governance procedures, policies, standards, and controls.

• Experience with program reporting, metrics, scorecards, dashboards, and executive communications.

• Skills in stakeholder engagement, change management, and business adoption support.

• Proficiency in strategic analysis, problem-solving, and business case development.

• Ability to independently manage deliverables, coordinate stakeholders, facilitate working sessions, structure ambiguous challenges, and translate complex information into clear recommendations and actionable outcomes.

• Strong analytical thinking, executive communication, governance execution, stakeholder management, program coordination, and continuous improvement capabilities.

• Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and the ability to influence outcomes without direct authority.
