This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Manage and track project budgets, reconcile with coordinators, monitor variations, and propose adjustments.
• Coordinate with accounting for payments to suppliers, consultants, and partners, ensuring budget availability, tax documentation (CFDI), and contractual compliance.
• Prepare periodic financial reports for the Financial Directorate, internal teams, and donors.
• Keep the project's administrative files updated and ensure the traceability of information.
• Manage vendor registrations in SAP.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Mexican tax regulations (SAT, CFDI, ISR/IVA withholdings), audit policies, and financial OKRs.
• Provide administrative and financial support to technical teams.
• Assist with internal and external audits, responding to requests promptly.
• Support the construction and monitoring of departmental indicators.
• Coordinate logistical and administrative aspects of project activities and events.
• Assist in the hiring of local suppliers and consultants, validating legal and tax documentation in Mexico.
• Participate in internal meetings and donor discussions regarding the financial execution of projects.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and rigorous documentation practices.
• Analytical skills for interpreting financial data.
• Clear and effective communication with internal teams, external stakeholders, and donors.
• Integrity and a focus on regulatory compliance.
• Proactive attitude and teamwork capability.
• Native Spanish speaker.
• Proficient in SAP, advanced Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of Power BI is desirable.
• Experience in budget management and financial control of projects.
• Understanding of applicable Mexican tax regulations related to payments and receipts (CFDI, SAT, ISR/IVA withholdings).
• Experience in administrative processes within nonprofit organizations or international cooperation projects.
• Familiarity with internal control and support for audit processes.
• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in administrative and financial roles, preferably in development organizations, NGOs, consultancies, or donor-funded projects in Mexico.
• Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields.
