Algorithm Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Engage in and oversee the comprehensive lifecycle of biosignal-based algorithm development for medical devices, encompassing requirements gathering, data curation and labeling, development, failure analysis, production, maintenance, and documentation.

• Choose, implement, and develop suitable methods for each challenge, including identifying when deep learning or alternative techniques are most effective.

• Enhance internal deep learning and machine learning tools to boost team productivity.

• Introduce model architectures and algorithmic approaches while refining the codebase for reusability and swift experimentation.

• Advance algorithm implementation best practices, including unit tests, documentation, continuous integration, and non-regression testing.

• Present findings to key stakeholders and support algorithm utilization for client engagement.

• Assist with client-facing projects and help influence the effectiveness of current and future Beacon algorithms for customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of professional experience in machine learning and deep learning, especially in health sciences or other regulated sectors.

• Demonstrated success in deploying algorithms into production.

• Experience with digital signal processing (DSP) and statistical analysis.

• Proficiency in PyTorch or other deep learning frameworks.

• Awareness of current advancements in deep learning, including Transformer/ViT, large-scale modeling, and extensive model training.

• Adherence to best practices in software and machine learning engineering, including testing, version control, code reviews, documentation, Dockerization, continuous integration/deployment, and experiment tracking.

• Familiarity with biosignals, medical imaging data, or large time-series datasets, or a keen interest in expanding knowledge in this area.

• Capability to distill, discuss, and present intricate technical topics effectively to both internal and external audiences.

• Willingness to engage in the entire algorithm development lifecycle, including formal validation, quality/regulatory documentation, production deployment, and client engagement.
