Air Quality Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Develop inventories for air quality and GHG emissions, along with mitigation strategies and reports for impact analyses.

• Assist in creating climate action plans and associated adaptation strategies.

• Conduct analyses on energy impacts.

• After receiving internal mentorship, prepare air dispersion modeling and health risk assessments (HRAs).

• Clearly convey complex analyses to clients, the public, and decision-makers.

• Work autonomously while also engaging in team brainstorming and sharing knowledge through mentoring.

• Handle multiple projects at once, maintaining direct communication with clients and project managers.

• Utilize scientific evidence and innovative problem-solving techniques.

• Efficiently manage time to adhere to deadlines.

• Participate in site visits and work outdoors as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science/Studies, Earth Science, Atmospheric Science/Meteorology, Engineering, or a related field is mandatory, or equivalent work experience or training in an environmental area may be accepted.

• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation.

• A strong enthusiasm and commitment to understanding air quality and GHG emissions analyses along with climate action planning.

• Previous experience in air quality and GHG emissions analyses and climate action planning is preferred.

• Excellent communication, writing, and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong technical skills to quickly grasp analytical methods.

• A collaborative spirit and the willingness to contribute to the success of the team.

• Capability to work independently while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

• U.S. work authorization is required.
