This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee New Source Review, non-attainment NSR, PSD, and Title V air quality permitting processes.
• Execute regulatory air dispersion modeling utilizing US EPA-recommended models such as AERMOD.
• Calculate emissions and create emissions inventories.
• Conduct Best Available Control Technology (BACT) assessments.
• Carry out regulatory applicability analyses concerning state, local, and federal regulations.
• Direct and manage a team of consultants.
• Ensure quality control of personal work and managed projects.
• Communicate effectively with both external and internal stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain trusted professional relationships with clients.
• Promote the Spirit brand to clients.
• Provide mentorship and training to team members.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and support team objectives.
• Manage and contribute to multiple fast-paced projects.
• A B.S. or higher degree from an accredited institution in engineering or a related scientific field.
• A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in air quality consulting.
• Project Manager experience is strongly preferred, focusing on project timelines, budgets, and successful delivery.
• Familiarity with AERMOD, SCREEN3, TRI-ME Pro, and other environmental analysis tools.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
• Skilled in time and expense tracking software.
• Advanced knowledge of relevant regulations pertaining to tasks, projects, and client operations.
• Technical capability to address problems and scope new projects accurately and comprehensively.
• Ability to work across various industries or multiple clients within a large industry.
• Understanding of engineering principles related to chemical processes and emissions control technologies.
• High standard of professional ethics.
• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
