Air Export Agent

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Support the Manager and Supervisor in all facets of the Air Export Department.

• Ensure the effective and prompt movement of freight while delivering outstanding customer service.

• Maintain a seamless and timely flow of freight processes.

• Prepare documentation for international shipping.

• Coordinate and negotiate rates with contracted vendors to secure space and services.

• Ensure precise and prompt billing for clients and vendors.

• Accurately and timely input data into the operating system.

• Organize customers' international export shipments.

• Uphold compliance with internal policies, Operational Process Standards, governmental regulations, and client requirements.

• Assess department process flow and pinpoint areas for efficiency enhancements.

• Adhere to customer standard operating procedures as per the DLSOP.

• Collaborate with the team to achieve KPI standards.

• Review shipment reports to guarantee customer satisfaction.

• Facilitate communications with overseas partners.

• Analyze Stat 1 and operational reports, updating event codes accordingly.

• Conduct audits on files to help maintain operating process standards.

• Foster and uphold relationships with airlines, trucking companies, vendors, and customers.

• Assess vendors and implement corrective action plans as necessary.

• Oversee accounts payable and address any billing and accounting discrepancies.

• Assist with competitive pricing, new-business transitions, customer retention initiatives, and reviews.

• Mentor and develop team members while distributing workloads effectively.

• Support the training of new hires and ensure compliance with annual training standards.

• Communicate departmental goals and expectations clearly.

• Advocate for productivity tools and implement system/process enhancements.

• Promote the company's cultural values.


⛳️ Requirements

• 2 years of industry-specific qualifications (country-specific).

• Strong market and product knowledge.

• Effective interpersonal skills, with demonstrated abilities to listen, understand, and communicate clearly and succinctly to achieve positive outcomes.

• Proactive approach with strong organizational abilities.

• Proficient in computer applications, including Excel and Word.

• Hazardous Materials certification is preferred.

• Fluency in English.
