This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Create and structure workflows on the AiVA orchestration canvas.
• Reutilize catalog skills and develop custom skills where there are genuine capability deficiencies.
• Design prompts, workflows, tool integrations, and evaluation harnesses.
• Quickly build, test, showcase, and enhance skills during the initial deployment phase.
• Implement skills for observability, assessment, and ongoing quality measurement.
• Establish guardrails and safety protocols for client testing and production loads.
• Take ownership of skill quality, functional accuracy, evaluation coverage, integration performance, and deployment preparedness.
• Present custom skills and workflows to the change board for design approval.
• Collaborate as a committed member of a multidisciplinary delivery team through ongoing delivery efforts.
• Work alongside the Technical Lead on architecture and build execution.
• Collaborate with the Business Analyst to translate requirements and grasp domain processes with the Operations SME.
• Showcase functioning skills live to client stakeholders, including senior operational and technical audiences.
• Coordinate with the Integration Engineer on data pipelines, upstream systems, and deployment infrastructure.
• Provide technical insights on scope, value, feasibility, timelines, and platform limitations.
• Develop comprehensive fluency in the AiVA platform and contribute to platform tooling.
• Share expertise with the AI Workflow Engineer community.
• Contribute reusable patterns, prompt templates, and evaluation frameworks to the platform capability library.
• Mentor junior AI Workflow Engineers.
• Ensure adherence to client requirements, data protection policies, security standards, and AiVA governance.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in software engineering, applied AI or machine learning, or automation platform development.
• Proven experience in building production-quality AI applications, including prompt engineering, tool integration, and evaluation.
• Knowledge of modern LLM APIs, agent frameworks, and orchestration platforms.
• Willingness to quickly develop a deep understanding of the AiVA platform.
• Experience in client-facing or client-adjacent delivery roles is preferred.
• Comfortable presenting technical work to senior audiences.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to clarify technical decisions to non-technical audiences.
• Comfortable collaborating across geographies and time zones (US, UK, EMEA clients).
• An operational or process-oriented background is highly desirable.
• Experience working in, alongside, or embedded within an operational team.
• Familiarity with workflow execution, including points of failure.
• A process-oriented mindset, including exception handling, handoffs, and human-in-the-loop patterns.
• Comfortable modeling workflows as they are executed.
• Able to work across geographies (US, UK, India) and sectors, including legal and professional services.
