AI Transformation – Operational Efficiency Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with leaders from Accounting, Finance, HR, Legal, IT, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and other departments to comprehend workflows and pinpoint AI and automation prospects.

• Assess opportunities based on their business impact, potential cost savings, efficiency improvements, implementation challenges, and return on investment.

• Create business cases and prioritize projects according to the organization's requirements and anticipated outcomes.

• Formulate and oversee an enterprise AI roadmap that aligns with Story's Default-to-AI strategy.

• Convert opportunities into actionable project plans with specified scope, timelines, budgets, milestones, and success metrics.

• Guide initiatives from discovery and solution selection through to implementation, adoption, and ongoing enhancement.

• Coordinate cross-functional teams, balance competing priorities, and ensure projects remain on schedule while delivering measurable results.

• Spot chances to automate and enhance Accounting and Finance processes, including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, financial reporting, expense management, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Define requirements in collaboration with subject matter experts to ensure solutions meet business needs, uphold accuracy, and support financial controls.

• Assess AI tools, software vendors, consultants, and implementation partners.

• Lead vendor selection, delineate scopes of work, manage budgets and timelines, and hold partners accountable for their deliverables.

• Oversee integrations with existing systems alongside IT and internal stakeholders.

• Establish protocols for data security, confidentiality, human oversight, and regulatory compliance.

• Facilitate employee adoption through training, change management, and process redesign.

• Monitor and report on productivity enhancements, cost savings, accuracy, and return on investment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in project management, business transformation, enterprise technology, AI implementation, operational enhancement, or a related consulting field.

• Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional projects from the initial assessment to implementation and measurable outcomes.

• Strong understanding of generative AI, large language models, workflow automation, and their practical business applications.

• Experience in mapping business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, developing implementation plans, and measuring ROI.

• Demonstrated success in selecting and managing external vendors, consultants, and implementation partners, including oversight of budgets, timelines, and deliverables.

• Familiarity with Accounting and Finance operations, including financial workflows, reporting, controls, and systems.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational abilities, with the capacity to translate business needs into actionable plans.

• A practical, execution-focused mindset with the ability to juggle multiple initiatives across business units.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

• Preferred: Experience in implementing AI or automation solutions across various business functions.

• Preferred: Familiarity with OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate, UiPath, cloud AI services, or enterprise data platforms.

• Preferred: Experience with ERP systems, financial automation, or reporting tools.

• Preferred: Background in management consulting, operational transformation, or technology implementation.

• Preferred: MBA, advanced technical degree, or relevant project management certification.
