AI Trainer, Voice and Speech Evaluation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Evaluate paired or grouped audio samples and determine which sounds more authentic, expressive, or adheres to provided guidelines.

• Assess voices based on criteria for naturalness, clarity, emotional expression, pacing, and delivery style.

• Identify voice characteristics such as perceived gender, age, accent or dialect, and tone, while flagging discrepancies with existing metadata.

• Evaluate how accurately cloned voices replicate their original speakers.

• Examine groups of new voices for audio quality and appropriateness prior to public release.

• Test upcoming speech features in pre-release settings and document bugs, edge cases, and usability concerns.

• Compose clear, organized reports that engineers can utilize.

• For multilingual positions, assess pronunciation, dialect precision, and naturalness in your native language.

⛳️ Requirements

• A discerning ear; experience in audio production, broadcasting, voice acting, music, linguistics, phonetics, or a related field.

• Capability to detect and articulate subtle variations in prosody, timing, pronunciation, and audio quality.

• Consistent and careful evaluation across extensive sets of similar samples.

• Proficiency with beta web tools, VPN access, and spreadsheets.

• Openness to resolving minor access challenges.

• Strong written English skills for documenting findings.

• Ability to complete tasks within a day when necessary, including occasional weekend availability.

• Native or near-native proficiency in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, Brazilian Portuguese, or a regional Spanish dialect is preferred.

• Experience with TTS, voice AI, dubbing, or localization quality assurance is advantageous.

• Familiarity with A/B evaluation or annotation tasks is a plus.
