AI Technical Program Management Intern – Part-time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Maintain a comprehensive overview of ongoing AI initiatives, including milestones, dependencies, owners, risks, and decisions.

• Lead project planning and follow-up activities within AI, engineering, product, clinical, operations, security, and other involved stakeholders.

• Organize working sessions, document decisions made, and ensure that actions are executed.

• Early identification of blockers and escalation of issues that necessitate leadership decisions.

• Act as a central point of coordination for external AI and technology partners.

• Monitor vendor deliverables, timelines, technical dependencies, and unresolved questions.

• Oversee vendor integrations, testing, security reviews, and implementation processes.

• Assist in evaluating vendor deliverables against established requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Transform business and clinical use cases into detailed requirements, workflows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Collaborate with technical teams on AI architecture, data requirements, integrations, model evaluation, and deployment considerations.

• Coordinate testing and evaluation activities, measuring accuracy, quality, latency, reliability, and other pertinent metrics.

• Keep documentation updated regarding AI capabilities, limitations, assumptions, and validation results.

• Create succinct program updates for technology and business leadership.

• Maintain logs of decisions, risk registers, project dashboards, and meeting outcomes.

• Convert technical progress into understandable business language for non-technical stakeholders.

• Ensure that teams are informed about deliverables, objectives, status, and necessary decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Business/Technology, or a related field.

• A strong interest in Generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, cloud technologies, and AI product development.

• Sufficient technical fluency to collaborate effectively with engineers and AI/data teams; direct experience in model development is not mandatory.

• Familiarity with APIs, cloud platforms, data pipelines, LLMs, RAG, agentic AI, or AI evaluation.

• Experience with project/product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.

• Previous internship, academic project, or startup experience in software or AI product development.

• Interest in healthcare technology or regulated environments.

• Strong project management skills, organization, and ability to follow through.

• Capability to translate vague discussions into structured plans, ownership, and actionable items.

• Comfortable engaging with technical, clinical, operational, vendor, and executive stakeholders.

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

• Available to work a maximum of 28 hours per week.
