AI Strategist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Create and develop tailored AI workflows and agents from the ground up for Smartcat’s key customers.

• Collaborate with business leaders and technical teams to identify high-impact AI use cases and establish success metrics.

• Discover AI opportunities that provide ROI, enhance efficiency, and offer competitive advantages, while constructing robust business cases.

• Design, construct, and implement custom AI solutions utilizing both structured and unstructured customer data.

• Engage with vector databases, MCP, RAG, and conduct semantic and keyword searches across customer knowledge repositories.

• Manage customer interactions from concept to execution and promote adoption along with measurable results.

• Work alongside Strategic Account Executives, Technical Account Managers, and Forward Deployed Engineers in customer pods.

• Educate customer teams, assist in onboarding and change management, and integrate solutions into everyday operations.

• Identify customer needs and insights to guide Smartcat’s product roadmap.

• Contribute to the development of playbooks, reusable solution frameworks, and case studies.

• Acquire knowledge of Smartcat’s platform and AI tools during onboarding, create and test an initial customer solution by day 60, and take ownership of a customer engagement by day 90.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in a customer-facing AI, solutions, consulting, or technical role, preferably within B2B SaaS or enterprise settings.

• Demonstrated history of developing AI-powered workflows, agents, or automations that address real business challenges.

• Practical experience with AI coding tools such as Claude, Cursor, Cline, or similar (“vibe coding”).

• Proficient in building applications using Python.

• Knowledge of vector databases, MCP, RAG, and agent design principles.

• Comfortable with command line operations, basic Linux administration, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP).

• Capability to convert vague business challenges into tangible, scalable AI solutions and manage projects from inception to completion.

• Skilled in engaging technical stakeholders and senior executives, effectively bridging the communication gap between them.

• Experience in delivering solutions within complex enterprise organizations and agile startup environments.

• Background in change management and customer enablement.

• Willingness to travel for customer interactions.

• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives or teams is considered a plus.
