This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.
β’ Accelerate the integration of Artificial Intelligence within the Veralto Water Quality software and firmware divisions.
β’ Collaborate with leaders in software, firmware, architecture, product management, and R&D across Water Quality operating companies.
β’ Introduce AI-driven engineering methodologies to enhance speed, quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
β’ Engage directly with development teams to modernize software delivery and implement AI-assisted development workflows.
β’ Scale best practices in AI engineering across various technology stacks.
β’ Mentor engineers in AI-assisted coding, testing, documentation, refactoring, and debugging techniques.
β’ Create reusable standards for AI engineering, including prompt libraries, playbooks, and frameworks.
β’ Facilitate workshops, hackathons, and technical bootcamps.
β’ Assess new AI development technologies and coding agents.
β’ Assist in the modernization of legacy systems through AI-enabled development strategies.
β’ Establish KPIs to measure adoption, productivity, quality, and business impact.
β’ Foster collaboration among multiple Water Quality operating companies.
β’ Set up repeatable AI engineering standards within the first year.
β’ Boost the adoption of AI-enabled development workflows.
β’ Enhance development velocity and software quality.
β’ Build a community of engineering practice.
β’ Generate measurable business outcomes linked to AI adoption.
β’ Over 8 years of experience in software engineering.
β’ Practical experience with AI development tools such as GitHub CoPilot, Claude Code, Codex, large language models, agentic workflows, or AI-powered engineering platforms.
β’ Proficient in developing commercial software products using contemporary programming languages like C#, Python, Java, TypeScript, C++, or similar.
β’ Familiarity with cloud-native platforms, SaaS applications, APIs, containers, and CI/CD environments.
β’ In-depth knowledge of modern software development practices.
β’ Preferred: experience in both software and embedded/firmware development settings.
β’ Preferred: background in IoT solutions, industrial automation, instrumentation, or connected products.
β’ Preferred: experience in leading DevOps, platform engineering, architecture, or developer productivity initiatives.
β’ Preferred: knowledge of implementing organizational change management programs within technology teams.
β’ Preferred: familiarity with markets related to water quality, environmental monitoring, laboratory, utility, compliance, or industrial technology.
β’ Preferred: understanding of AI governance, security, privacy, and compliant AI development practices.
