AI Software Engineer – Consultant II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs utilizing Java Spring Boot, Node.js, or Python FastAPI.

• Integrate and deploy Generative AI models, including OpenAI, Hugging Face, and LangChain, into production environments.

• Fine-tune and optimize large language models (LLMs) for targeted use cases.

• Construct secure, scalable, and high-performance microservices.

• Monitor and enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability.

• Implement CI/CD pipelines, Docker containerization, and Kubernetes orchestration.

• Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms, with a preference for Microsoft Azure.

• Engage in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration processes.

• Collaborate as part of Allstate's engineering team to develop enterprise applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 2 years of backend development experience with Java Spring Boot or Python.

• Strong comprehension of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and asynchronous processing.

• Experience with Generative AI APIs and/or open-source models.

• Familiarity with LangChain, LLM orchestration, or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines.

• Understanding of prompt engineering, embedding models, or vector databases.

• Excellent problem-solving and debugging abilities.

• Bachelor's degree (4-year degree) required.

• Background investigation necessary.

• Typically, no employment-based visa sponsorship available.

• Reliable internet connection with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload is required.
