AI Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Develop features that enhance MDLinx and create a positive impact for users, while progressively taking on independent ownership.

• Engage in software system design and review the code of fellow engineers.

• Utilize software engineering best practices, including automated testing, clean coding, peer reviews, and thorough documentation.

• Support the performance, security, and compliance of MDLinx.

• Uphold repository context, conventions, automated tests, quality standards, and executable plans to ensure reliable coding practices.

• Evaluate AI-generated plans and code critically to identify potential issues.

• Identify repetitive or time-consuming engineering tasks that can be optimized using AI-assisted or automated workflows, ensuring human oversight for quality, accuracy, and compliance.

• Diagnose pre-production and production bugs with assistance from senior engineers.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues both within and outside of the engineering team to achieve team and organizational goals.

• Assist with M3 USA projects across various business units when necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• An associate or bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience in software engineering.

• Involvement in M3's AI training and upskilling; consistent engagement is expected as part of performance.

• Between 1 to 3 years of experience in software development, including internships, co-ops, academic projects, open-source contributions, and significant personal projects.

• Proficient in TypeScript, React, and Python.

• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.

• Experience with version control using Git.

• Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform; MDLinx operates on AWS, GCP, and Vercel.

• Practical experience with AI coding assistants, including the ability to explain their contributions and areas needing correction.

• A keen interest in media, content production, and the pharmaceutical sector, alongside a commitment to learning in these areas.

• Capability to quickly adapt to the technologies used by MDLinx.

• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical individuals, along with a proactive approach to asking questions early.
