AI Safety Expert, English, Finnish

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct red team assessments of conversational AI models and agents through methods such as jailbreaks, prompt injections, misuse scenarios, bias exploitation, and multi-turn manipulation.

• Document failures, categorize vulnerabilities, and identify systemic risks.

• Adhere to established taxonomies, benchmarks, and playbooks to ensure consistent testing.

• Generate reproducible reports, datasets, and attack cases for clients.

• Identify vulnerabilities overlooked by automated testing.

• Enhance evaluation coverage across a broader range of scenarios.

• Assist Mercor clients in improving the safety and reliability of their AI systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient language skills in both English and Finnish are mandatory.

• Native-level fluency in English and Finnish is essential.

• Previous experience in red teaming focused on AI adversarial challenges, cybersecurity, or socio-technical probing is required.

• Capability to adversarially test AI systems and push them to their limits.

• Experience utilizing frameworks or benchmarks for organized testing.

• Ability to clearly communicate risks to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Flexibility to adapt across various projects and clients.

• Preferred areas of expertise: adversarial machine learning, cybersecurity, socio-technical risk, or innovative probing techniques.

• Engagement as an independent contractor is necessary.
