AI Product Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Analyze and enhance existing services to improve performance, scalability, and security.

• Develop flexible and scalable APIs for future services, considering the needs of the frontend and upcoming mobile applications.

• Independently identify bottlenecks in the system before they become critical.

• Maintain the current infrastructure.

• Monitor errors and resolve them promptly.

• Propose multiple implementation options with a clear description of the risks and benefits associated with each.

• Influence the development of the Shift product—a career development platform that assists users worldwide in finding their dream jobs.

• Collaborate within a team comprising 3 Product Engineers, a PM, a QA Engineer, and a DevOps Engineer.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid experience in commercial development.

• Strong expertise in AI-first development and building multi-agent systems.

• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.

• Experience with Node.js.

• Familiarity with React and Next.js.

• Knowledge of NestJS and Fastify.

• Experience with MikroORM.

• Proficiency in PostgreSQL/MySQL.

• Understanding of REST APIs and integrations, including webhooks and payments.

• Experience with Docker and AWS.

• Familiarity with Sentry, logging, and performance tuning.

• Knowledge of key-value storage.

• Experience with message brokers/queues.

• Proficiency in unit and integration testing.

• Practical experience in building multi-agent systems or AI agents in production.

• Daily development experience using AI tools (agentic coding) as the primary workflow.

• Willingness to take responsibility for results.

• Experience in EdTech/HR-tech is a plus.

• Familiarity with PHP Laravel/Redis for migration is a nice-to-have.
