AI Platform Engineer, Python, AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and manage Python-based services and automation that support AI governance, security, privacy, and compliance.

• Create tools for AI application inventory, platform onboarding, risk classification, access reviews, policy compliance, control testing, exception management, approval workflows, and audit evidence collection.

• Convert governance policies and security requirements into enforceable technical controls, automated checks, alerts, and quantifiable control outcomes.

• Develop security and compliance checks to address sensitive data exposure, inappropriate access, policy violations, secrets leakage, unsafe tool usage, and other AI-specific risks.

• Collaborate with Security, Privacy, Legal, Compliance, and Internal Audit teams to define evidence requirements and automate the collection and reporting of recurring evidence.

• Construct AI-enabled internal applications and workflows utilizing enterprise model APIs and SDKs.

• Implement evaluations for models and workflows, regression tests, guardrails, fallback behaviors, rate limits, timeout handling, and cost controls.

• Create dashboards that monitor platform health, license utilization, token and cost consumption, access posture, policy exceptions, security events, control effectiveness, and audit readiness.

• Facilitate platform onboarding for internal customers while providing operational support for their success.

• Oversee uptime and health across enterprise AI tools, adhering to runbooks to detect and escalate issues.

• Conduct routine platform configuration changes and API version updates according to documented change procedures.

• Maintain monitoring and alerting dashboards.

• Manage identity and access tasks, including provisioning, de-provisioning, and role assignments.

• Assist with periodic access reviews and compile compliance evidence.

• Develop and sustain integrations between AI platforms and internal workflows.

• Troubleshoot routine access, integration, and configuration issues, escalating complex cases as needed.

• Track usage and adoption metrics for the assigned platform integrations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, IT operations, or DevOps, with some experience in SaaS/AI tooling administration.

• Strong expertise in Python for developing production applications and automation.

• Practical experience in designing and integrating REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven workflows.

• Hands-on experience in building AI-enabled applications or workflows using enterprise model APIs or SDKs.

• Knowledge of structured model outputs, function or tool invocation, prompt/configuration versioning, human-in-the-loop controls, model evaluations, guardrails, and AI application observability.

• Proficiency in SQL along with experience in designing data models, pipelines, queries, and dashboards.

• Familiarity with Git, pull requests, code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Working knowledge of identity and access management concepts relevant to cloud-based platforms.

• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to follow documented runbooks and escalate as necessary.

• Preferred: familiarity with enterprise AI platforms, SSO/SCIM and identity providers, integrations with enterprise platforms, AI-specific security risks, AI governance and information security frameworks, LLM evaluation, AI red teaming, model or agent observability, prompt lifecycle management, or guardrail platforms.
