AI Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain production-grade AI agent infrastructure.

• Provide support for Tessera’s AI infrastructure across all cloud providers.

• Take ownership of the Azure or Oracle Cloud variant of Tessera’s cloud infrastructure while also supporting GCP and AWS.

• Facilitate portable infrastructure across various customer environments.

• Enhance observability, security, and system reliability.

• Deploy and manage applications utilizing Kubernetes and Terraform.

• Collaborate with product and platform engineers to remove delivery obstacles.

• Create and manage CI/CD pipelines, overseeing the complete build, test, and deployment automation for both infrastructure and application code.

• Develop and uphold reusable automation frameworks for environment provisioning, secret rotation, dependency updates, compliance checks, and release management.

• Automate operational runbooks and recurring processes through scripts, pipeline stages, and self-service tooling.

• Advocate for an automation-first mindset, ensuring that automated systems are observable and maintained as if they were production code.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer.

• Strong practical experience with Terraform.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes.

• Significant hands-on experience with Azure, Oracle Cloud, GCP, or AWS.

• Demonstrated history of designing and managing CI/CD systems, pipeline architecture, GitOps-driven deployments, release automation, and pipeline-as-code practices.

• Experience in creating automation frameworks for DevOps and developer workflows, including scripting (Bash, Python, or similar), workflow orchestration, and self-service tooling.

• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals.

• Proven experience in deploying and managing real production systems.

• Familiarity with FluxCD or other GitOps controllers (such as ArgoCD, etc.).

• Understanding of cloud security and DevSecOps, with the ability to integrate security gates, SBOM generation, and compliance checks into CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with software development and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
