AI-native Backend Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Provide technical contributions to projects and engage in the planning, execution, and achievement of intricate technical tasks.

• Build credibility through the excellence of personal and team technical performance.

• Leverage AI to enhance delivery by assigning routine implementations, generating tests and documentation, and utilizing AI for debugging and refactoring, while taking ownership of every line delivered.

• Engage in questioning, brainstorming, and taking responsibility for the product being developed.

• Collaborate closely with product management to deliver optimal products for users.

• Work together with engineers, SREs, and product teams to create scalable, impactful solutions.

• Report directly to an Engineering Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• A professional who embodies a “you build it, you run it, you own it” philosophy — including for AI-generated outputs: you validate, refactor, and take complete responsibility.

• An engineer with a strong background in software development, preferably with experience in Golang, Java/Kotlin, or PHP.

• Familiarity with both relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis, Memcached).

• A solid understanding of AWS and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).

• Capability to craft structured prompts for multi-step tasks and maintain project-level AI context (CLAUDE.md / rules files).

• Ability to identify bugs and issues in AI-generated outputs prior to production deployment.

• Sound judgment on when to utilize AI and when to override its outputs.

• Proficiency in using AI for debugging, performance evaluation, and complex refactoring, while taking ownership of the results.

• Willingness to engage in discussions, collaborate across teams, and share knowledge.
