AI Manager – Language Models

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the creation of machine learning solutions powered by large language models.

• Engage throughout the entire machine learning lifecycle, which includes data curation, model training, deployment, monitoring, evaluation, and feedback.

• Utilize machine learning expertise for public safety applications like 911 call handling, dispatch, and case management, alongside enterprise applications.

• Partner with infrastructure engineers and research scientists to develop scalable machine learning products.

• Design reusable components that facilitate integration between research teams and production engineering.

• Connect AI research with production engineering to create reliable machine learning systems.

• Lead the development and implementation of LLM-driven machine learning solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree along with 8+ years of experience in machine learning.

• At least 2 years of direct management experience leading technical teams.

• Over 8 years of combined experience as a machine learning researcher or a post-graduate degree in a quantitative science or engineering field.

• Prior experience managing an LLM-based solution from inception to market.

• Experience in managing cloud-based software engineering projects.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Experience in developing software for public safety or enterprise applications is preferred.

• Background in managing engineers and researchers, along with collaboration with UI/UX and product management teams, is preferred.

• Familiarity with incorporating UX guidance into LLM-driven design patterns, testing protocols, and training methodologies is preferred.

• A solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals and best practices is preferred.
