AI & Innovation Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement the AI-driven transformation strategy for G&A

• Identify inefficiencies within G&A teams and determine whether to build, purchase, or automate solutions

• Manage the intake, prioritization, and stage-gate processes for the G&A transformation portfolio

• Define clear ownership, decision-making authority, and establish a regular executive review schedule

• Create prototypes for agents, applications, and automations utilizing Sanity’s platform and AI technologies

• Collaborate with Systems Engineering to transition successful prototypes into operational production

• Convert G&A processes into engineering specifications and prototypes, addressing data flows, systems of record, controls, edge cases, and completion criteria

• Develop controls, audit trails, access management, data quality measures, and human-in-the-loop review processes

• Work alongside Data and IT teams to enhance G&A systems and data infrastructure

• Integrate G&A systems with the data warehouse

• Promote adoption by training teams and documenting standard workflows

• Assist functions in leveraging AI while phasing out outdated manual processes

• Evaluate metrics including hours saved, cycle times, error rates, adoption levels, AI assessments, and stakeholder feedback

• Contribute to shaping the practices and culture within the Systems Engineering team

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be based remotely in North America (preferably San Francisco)

• Extensive G&A domain expertise with a minimum of 8 years in Finance, Accounting, People Operations, or business operations within a software company

• Practical experience applying AI in G&A functions

• Proficient in building prototypes using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar

• Familiarity with APIs, data flows, and the interconnectivity of G&A systems, including ERP, HRIS, CRM, contract management tools, and data warehouse systems

• Knowledgeable about agents, tool utilization, structured contexts, prompts, evaluations, and automation processes

• Strong grasp of controls, accuracy, audit trails, and dependable G&A systems

• Program management expertise for overseeing cross-functional roadmaps and organizational transformations

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and transforming vaguely defined business challenges into deliverable solutions

• Effective communication skills to articulate G&A processes to engineers and technical trade-offs to G&A teams

• Preferred: Background in Finance or Accounting

• Preferred: Hands-on experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, HRIS, and BigQuery

• Preferred: Experience across multiple G&A functions

• Preferred: Background in G&A transformation, systems implementation, or migration projects

• Preferred: Experience in program management, change management, or enabling internal tools

• Preferred: Experience in a high-growth or multi-entity organization, particularly across the US and Europe
