AI Engineer, Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and enhance intelligent agents utilizing LLMs for intricate commerce and payment processes.

• Create Agentic Commerce solutions to automate purchasing, payments, inquiries, reconciliations, and various financial transactions.

• Develop flows for decision-making, planning, memory, reasoning, execution, and exception handling.

• Integrate agents with REST APIs, payment gateways, e-commerce platforms, microservices, and financial systems.

• Implement measures for authentication, authorization, tokenization, credential management, and data security in payment integrations.

• Assess and implement interoperability protocols such as MCP and A2A.

• Construct RAG solutions to ensure agents have reliable context.

• Establish comprehensive observability with logs, metrics, tracing, quality evaluations, cost monitoring, and error management.

• Develop automated tests and evaluation criteria focused on behavior, security, accuracy, and performance.

• Write and review clean, resilient, scalable, and testable Python code.

• Serve as a technical reference, assist engineers, and contribute to architectural decisions.

• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Security, Risk, and Compliance teams to convert business requirements into technical solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience in software development with Python.

• Experience in payments, acquiring, gateways, e-commerce, digital transactions, or financial services.

• Understanding of authorization, capture, cancellation, refunds/chargebacks, reconciliation, and fraud prevention in payment systems.

• Practical experience with Generative AI, LLMs, and agent-based solutions.

• Familiarity with LangChain and LangGraph.

• Proficient in REST API integration.

• Knowledge of constructing MCP servers.

• Experience with microservices and distributed architectures.

• Experience in automated testing, code quality, design patterns, and software engineering best practices.

• Understanding of security applied to APIs and payments, including authentication, authorization, tokenization, and safeguarding sensitive information.

• Experience with logging, tracing, metrics, and monitoring of distributed applications.

• Ability to navigate complex, ambiguous, and loosely structured challenges.

• Systemic thinking, architectural vision, independence, and technical leadership.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills in multidisciplinary environments.

• Preferred: Experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, or similar services.

• Preferred: Knowledge of MCP, A2A, AP2, ACP, RAG, vector databases, embeddings, event-driven architectures, messaging, Node.js, Docker, guardrails, prompt injection prevention, PCI DSS, LGPD, Open Finance, digital identity, or card tokenization.

• Proficient in advanced English for interaction with vendors, technical documentation, and global teams.
