AI Engineer – LLM Products

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop innovative AI-driven product functionalities from conception to deployment.

• Enhance current AI processes focusing on quality, reliability, speed, and user satisfaction.

• Design and execute LLM-based processes, structured outputs, validation mechanisms, and fallback strategies.

• Establish evaluation cycles, testing protocols, and quality assurance for AI-generated outcomes.

• Incorporate AI features into existing products and backend infrastructures.

• Collaborate with both commercial and open-source LLMs without being restricted to a single provider.

• Facilitate self-hosted model processes when they align with quality, speed, cost, or control preferences.

• Troubleshoot AI feature malfunctions across inputs, outputs, data, backend logic, and user interactions.

• Utilize AI development tools as an integral part of your daily tasks.

• Deliver results swiftly while maintaining high production quality.

• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams while taking responsibility for outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient software engineering capabilities, particularly in Python or a similar backend language.

• Proven experience in developing AI-powered product functionalities or LLM-based processes.

• Skillful in transforming vague product concepts into functional software swiftly.

• Robust understanding of designing, testing, validating, and enhancing AI outputs.

• Experience in integrating AI processes into production environments.

• Strong debugging skills across application logic, data, model outputs, and user interactions.

• Familiarity with evaluation, testing, validation, or quality assurance for AI-generated results.

• Significant experience with AI development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, or similar as part of your regular workflow.

• High intelligence, rapid learning ability, proactive attitude, and ownership mindset.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity, making quick decisions, and thriving in a high-trust startup setting.

• Proficient in written and spoken English.

• Experience in frontend or fullstack product development.

• Knowledge of self-hosted LLMs, model serving, inference optimization, or related systems.

• Familiarity with open-source LLMs and associated deployment processes.

• Experience in enhancing latency, cost, quality, or reliability of AI systems.

• Background in healthcare software, healthcare data, or regulated environments.

• Experience with structured data extraction, documentation automation, voice workflows, or process automation.

• Proficiency in the German language.

• Understanding of nursing homes or elderly care processes.
