Lead AI Engineer – LLM, Agents

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain multi-turn conversation systems.

• Implement context management, tool invocation, knowledge retrieval (RAG), state management, and human handoff processes.

• Establish success criteria in collaboration with Product, Design, and QA leads.

• Transform production failures into evaluation samples and regression tests.

• Assess the impact and side effects of changes prior to and following a release.

• Troubleshoot failures relating to model judgment, knowledge deficiencies, tool responses, backend stability, and conflicting rules.

• Manage timeouts, retries, graceful degradation, asynchronous jobs, and failures from third-party dependencies.

• Ensure issues are traceable via logs, changes are version-controlled, and failures have defined recovery paths.

• Provide guidance on requirements concerning feasibility, cost, risk, and alternatives.

• Suggest enhanced methodologies and phased, deliverable solutions.

• Proactively communicate progress, obstacles, estimated timelines, and checkpoints.

• Monitor real-world impact post-launch and supply documentation and handover materials.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in production LLM/Agent at scale: developed LLM or Agent features utilized by over 10,000 active users and maintained and enhanced them post-launch.

• Strong foundational knowledge in backend engineering, including production code, APIs, data flows, and incident troubleshooting.

• Proficient in creating evaluation sets, regression suites, and production monitoring systems.

• Ability to confirm that improvements are genuine and not merely random fluctuations.

• Take ownership of decisions, identify risks early, and verify production outcomes.

• Ideally 1 year of experience in a crypto, DeFi, or Web3 company; experience with wallets, exchanges, L1/L2 protocols, or DeFi platforms is highly preferred.
