This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Estonia.
• Design, develop, and deploy the foundational agentic voice AI framework, encompassing conversation orchestration, tool utilization, and runtime architecture.
• Create and enhance guardrails, grounding, policy checks, and evaluation mechanisms to ensure the reliability of banking LLM agents.
• Analyze, assess, and optimize latency throughout the real-time voice pipeline.
• Integrate runtime architecture and minimize configuration barriers for swiftly launching new banking applications.
• Ensure the stability and reliability of existing production systems.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams across Europe and Vancouver to transform ambiguous challenges into tangible results.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools on a daily basis and contribute to the establishment of standards for reviewing and validating agent-generated code.
• Proven experience in building AI systems in a production environment.
• In-depth understanding of LLM architecture, including prompting and context management, tool usage and agentic flows, retrieval and grounding, evaluation, as well as latency/cost/quality trade-offs.
• Experience in real-time or voice AI is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with agent SDKs such as the Claude Agent SDK or OpenAI Agents SDK is a significant plus.
• Capability to design intricate components, make informed trade-offs, and foresee potential risks early on.
• A strong history of prompt and reliable delivery while ensuring quality ownership.
• Experience in directing, verifying, and reviewing AI-generated code.
• A proactive mindset for identifying issues, collaborating with PMs, and driving projects to completion.
• Flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Quick to learn new tools and methodologies.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, particularly in a distributed team setting.
• Availability to overlap at least 2 hours daily with Pacific Time, specifically from 9:00–11:00 AM PT.
• Previous experience as a tech lead, team lead, or mentor is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Python, Elixir, TypeScript, React/JavaScript, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, S3, AWS, DataDog, Jenkins, Argo CD, Gemini, Claude Code, Terraform, Kafka, GitHub, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• A Bachelor's degree or higher, as indicated in the required application screening question.
• Applicants must reside in and be authorized to work lawfully in Poland, as specified in the required application screening questions.
• Production experience in creating or maintaining applications using TypeScript, as outlined in the required application screening question.
• Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks and associated technologies.
• Experience leading projects that involve multiple stakeholders.
• Experience in making or significantly influencing critical technical or architectural decisions on complex projects.
