AI Engineer – Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create and enhance prompts for tasks related to classification and extraction.

• Conduct structured evaluation cycles that focus on accuracy, error analysis, and iterations.

• Develop datasets for testing and validation purposes.

• Analyze outputs from real-world usage, including logs, SQLite data, and structured results.

• Write Python scripts for testing, scoring, and comparison tasks.

• Identify patterns of failure and suggest improvements.

• Validate system performance within iOS simulation environments.

• Clearly and systematically document findings.

• Engage directly with AI systems that are powering a product ready for market launch.

• Influence tangible product decisions and deliver features to users.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, or a related discipline, with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.

• Proven experience in shipping at least one production-quality mobile application.

• Strong expertise in React Native, Expo, and the iOS ecosystem.

• Proficient in Python for scripting and data validation tasks.

• Experience with APIs and local databases (SQLite or similar).

• Excellent problem-solving and debugging abilities.

• Background or formal training in LLMs and prompt engineering.

• Strong and proactive communication skills.

• Availability for a full-time (or near full-time) internship.

• Exceptional oral and written communication capabilities.

• Ability to analyze results and iterate in a systematic manner.

• Work timing availability: 7:30 PM IST to 4:30 AM IST, or potentially 3 PM to 12 AM IST with a half-day overlap with US teams.
