AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and continuously enhance AI-driven software solutions from conception to reliable production deployment.

• Design and execute agentic systems featuring tool and function calls, multi-stage workflow orchestration, context and state management, retries, fallbacks, human-in-the-loop capabilities, and safety measures.

• Develop and implement LLM applications utilizing RAG pipelines, structured data extraction, evaluation, and observability.

• Integrate machine learning models, foundational models, and data-driven services, including APIs, data flows, and infrastructure.

• Actively engage in building scalable, maintainable, and high-performance applications on AWS and Azure.

• Identify and evaluate AI use cases within customer projects.

• Employ AI tools for development, code review, and delivery, while sharing insights with the team.

• Provide guidance to customers on architecture, technology, and make-or-buy decisions.

• Maintain code quality through Clean Code practices, testing, reviews, and adherence to best practices.

• Contribute to the growth of the AI capability area by defining key topics, transferring knowledge, and establishing standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Multiple years of experience in contemporary software development, preferably in a full-stack context.

• Hands-on experience with LLMs and generative AI in practical projects.

• Familiarity with prompting, RAG, embeddings/vector databases, function calling, fine-tuning, or agent frameworks.

• Experience with or a strong interest in agentic engineering.

• Comprehensive understanding of machine learning fundamentals and data processing.

• Cloud development expertise with AWS and/or Azure, including CI/CD, containers, and Infrastructure as Code.

• Mastery of Clean Code, SOLID principles, and robust software architectures.

• A self-sufficient and accountable work approach.

• Strong analytical and conceptual capabilities.

• Capacity to devise practical solutions for intricate requirements.

• High motivation and enthusiasm for software development.

• Excellent German language proficiency (C1), both written and verbal.

• Good command of the English language.

• Nice to have: familiarity with Angular, .NET, NestJS, C#, TypeScript, Python, Terraform, and/or CDK.

• Senior-level expertise, eagerness to learn, and the ability to swiftly adapt to new technologies and project environments.
