This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the rollout and ongoing adoption of Claude and Cursor as standard AI tools.
• Develop workflows, prompt and skill libraries, along with internal documentation.
• Create and structure end-to-end agentic workstreams from task assignments in Slack or Jira to the creation of tested pull requests.
• Collaborate with engineering to develop agentic workflows, custom tools, and automation to accelerate software delivery.
• Work closely with product teams on rapid, live prototyping utilizing Claude and Claude Code.
• Identify manual, repetitive, or slow processes within product, marketing, sales, customer support, and operations.
• Design or configure AI-powered solutions to eliminate operational barriers.
• Execute pilot programs, collect feedback, discontinue ineffective methods, and scale those that prove successful.
• Provide training and support to non-engineering teams for confident and safe usage of AI tools.
• Set up guardrails for both autonomous and semi-autonomous agent tasks, including human review, testing, and CI gates.
• Collaborate with engineering and security leadership on workflows involving data from students, mentors, or partners.
• Monitor and report the impact of AI enablement in terms of velocity, quality, or capacity improvements.
• Keep track of Claude, Cursor, and other AI tooling roadmaps, bringing relevant updates to Mentor Collective.
• Report directly to the CTO and collaborate cross-functionally with all team leads.
• Extensive, up-to-date, hands-on expertise with Claude and Cursor, including their agent modes, extensibility, and limitations.
• 7+ years of experience in a software engineering, developer productivity, or technical enablement capacity.
• Proven experience in constructing or managing agentic workflows triggered by Slack or Jira, covering planning, code modifications, and automated testing with minimal oversight.
• A history of developing tools, scripts, or workflows that have been widely adopted and utilized by others.
• Ability to navigate between complex technical tasks and clear, straightforward communication with non-technical colleagues.
• Strong discernment regarding what processes are worth automating, prioritizing impact over novelty.
• Experience or a keen interest in change management and promoting tool adoption.
• A security- and privacy-minded approach, including establishing review gates and collaboration with security and compliance teams.
• Exceptional written communication skills.
• Experience in rolling out a new tool or platform across the company, from pilot phase to standard practice (preferred).
• Familiarity with educational technology, FERPA-related data management, or partnerships with institutions (preferred).
• Background in building internal AI agents, MCP servers, or custom integrations with Claude/Cursor (preferred).
• Experience collaborating with product or design teams on rapid prototyping and live, in-session coding for customer feedback (preferred).
