AI Transformation Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Define and continuously refine the strategy and operational model for the AI Factory.

• Position the AI Factory as a reliable transformation capability within the Energy Industries.

• Foster divisional cohesion regarding AI priorities, principles, and governance.

• Ensure that AI transformation initiatives align with and enhance the NewGen transformation framework.

• Oversee the divisional AI portfolio and implement mechanisms for intake, prioritization, stage-gate, and escalation.

• Provide clear visibility into portfolio performance, maturity, investment, and value realization.

• Report on the progress of divisional AI transformations to executive leadership.

• Ensure compliance with relevant IS standards and processes.

• Assist functions in identifying transformation opportunities, creating business cases, and forming investment proposals.

• Establish the vision and strategy for the AI Academy and promote the development of AI competencies.

• Advocate for AI literacy and cultivate a network of AI champions and advocates.

• Engage with senior leaders to align AI opportunities with business priorities and secure their sponsorship.

• Promote the reuse of successful AI solutions, methodologies, and assets across various functions.

• Encourage scalable and sustainable models for adoption.

• Assist functions in transitioning from existing processes enhanced with AI features to processes structured around AI capabilities.

• Lead a global virtual ecosystem comprising subject matter experts, delivery teams, architects, project managers, functional stakeholders, and external partners.

• Influence divisional priorities, investments, governance decisions, and the overall effectiveness of the AI Transformation Engine through leadership, alignment, and delegated authority.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Business, Data Science, or a related field.

• A minimum of 8 years of leadership experience in transformation, digitalization, innovation, technology, consulting, or a similar environment.

• Proven experience in establishing a new capability, organization, program, or transformation initiative.

• Experience in influencing senior stakeholders within a complex, global, or matrixed organization.

• Skilled in developing business cases and investment proposals.

• Strong understanding of business transformation driven by AI.

• Professional proficiency in English.

• Willingness to travel internationally approximately 20 percent of the time.

• Preferred: experience in industrial, engineering, energy, infrastructure, or technology sectors.

• Preferred: background in consulting, startups, scale-ups, or other fast-paced environments.

• Preferred: familiarity with AI-enabled transformation programs.

• Preferred: advanced degree in a relevant field.
