This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +33 more states.
β’ Take ownership of the architecture and technical direction for AI functionalities across the product suite.
β’ Create roadmaps for both current and future AI systems.
β’ Design scalable workflows, personalization features, and AI-enhanced customer interactions.
β’ Set standards for memory, context management, prompts, evaluation frameworks, RAG, knowledge representation, ontologies, and reusable AI patterns.
β’ Lead AI integration efforts across .NET, Node, Go, and Java platforms.
β’ Assess emerging technologies, frameworks, and AI infrastructure.
β’ Stay actively involved in architecture, prototyping, software development, and reference implementations.
β’ Drive decisions on whether to build or buy AI platforms, frameworks, and infrastructure.
β’ Collaborate with Platform Engineering on infrastructure, evaluation systems, runtime environments, and governance.
β’ Provide guidance to engineering leadership on AI strategy and long-term technical direction.
β’ Lead and mentor the AI team, including engineers and contractors.
β’ Promote technical excellence through design reviews, coaching, and architectural advice.
β’ Work in partnership with engineering leaders, product teams, and organizational stakeholders.
β’ Assist product engineering teams in the adoption of AI capabilities.
β’ Investigate and implement new AI use cases, products, and greenfield opportunities.
β’ Spearhead initiatives related to agent harnesses, personalized content generation, and future MCP implementations.
β’ Participate in technical due diligence and AI capability evaluations for potential acquisitions.
β’ Identify actionable AI opportunities that generate measurable business value.
β’ Establish governance for AI, including model selection, hosting strategies, tenant isolation, and data privacy practices.
β’ Collaborate with Legal, Information Security, and IT on enterprise AI requirements.
β’ Ensure that AI solutions comply with security, regulatory, and compliance standards.
β’ Over 10 years of experience in software engineering with significant responsibilities in architecture and technical leadership.
β’ Demonstrated experience in designing, deploying, and scaling production AI, machine learning, RAG, or agentic systems.
β’ Profound understanding of contemporary AI architecture, including LLM applications, RAG, memory, context management, evaluation frameworks, knowledge graphs, ontologies, and AI/ML techniques.
β’ Strong hands-on background in software engineering.
β’ Experience in leading technical strategy, architectural decisions, and AI roadmaps.
β’ Ability to work across .NET, Node, Go, and Java technology stacks.
β’ Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and executive stakeholders.
β’ Proven track record of leading teams while also making direct technical contributions.
β’ Comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced SaaS environments.
β’ Authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
β’ Resident in one of the eligible U.S. states listed.
β’ Willingness to complete an online assessment that includes a short cognitive evaluation.
β’ Willingness to undergo a criminal background check prior to employment.
β’ Nice-to-have: experience with agentic AI, agent orchestration, agent harnesses, MCP, knowledge graphs, ontologies, semantic search, graph databases, vector databases, Python, Node.js, TypeScript, AWS, AWS Bedrock, Braintrust, LangSmith, LangFuse, technical due diligence, regulated industries, or high-growth SaaS organizations.
