AI DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Create and deploy automation that provisions cloud environments, enforces security standards, and incorporates AI-assisted tools and agentic workflows.

• Develop and enhance Day 1 automation, which includes infrastructure provisioning pipelines, account vending, golden repository templates, and CI/CD components.

• Build and improve Day 2 automation for lifecycle management, upgrade pipelines, dependency scanning, drift detection, and automated remediation workflows.

• Write and sustain Terraform modules, GitLab CI/CD components, and Python automation to establish the platform's paved road.

• Integrate AI and agentic tools into operational workflows to minimize manual toil and enhance operational consistency.

• Collaborate with Security, IAM, Network, and FinOps teams to convert cross-functional requirements into automated guardrails.

• Report to the Manager of IT Cloud Operations in the Cloud Platform Engineering department.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven curiosity and proactive exploration of AI tools, with a documented history of integrating new technologies to improve daily workflows and enhance problem-solving.

• Over 5 years of experience in building and operating multi-cloud infrastructure at scale across major cloud platforms.

• Hands-on experience with Terraform, including module design, state management, and CI-driven workflows.

• Proficient in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar languages.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline design and Kubernetes operations.

• Knowledge of identity federation, secrets management, and least-privilege security principles.

• Experience with multi-account governance tools such as AWS Control Tower, Organizations, SCPs, or RCPs.

• Familiarity with GitOps methodologies and automated infrastructure lifecycle management tools like Renovate, Dependabot, or ArgoCD.

• Experience with MLOps frameworks, including Kubeflow, MLflow, and model services such as Bedrock, SageMaker, Vertex AI, and Gemini Enterprise.
