AI Data Science Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Assist in the design, testing, and deployment of AI/ML models and applications.

• Support agentic and LLM-based workflows, which encompass retrieval, extraction, grounding, evaluation, and cost/latency profiling.

• Create robust, structured, and testable production code on cloud-native data and AI platforms.

• Collaborate with the Engineering team on integration, monitoring, and iterative improvements post-deployment.

• Maintain documentation and a comprehensive inventory of AI/ML projects, adhering to governance and quality standards.

• Work alongside team members and business stakeholders to convert requirements into technical tasks and acceptance criteria.

• Stay updated on emerging AI technologies and best practices, sharing valuable insights.

• Measure and report on model accuracy, subject-matter-expert agreement rates, latency, cost, and business KPIs both before and after launch.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing a master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline.

• Educational background or project experience in AI/ML, including familiarity with machine learning and deep learning, time series forecasting, reinforcement learning, optimization, or conversational AI.

• Knowledge of Python and popular AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Pandas, and NumPy.

• Understanding of software engineering principles: version control, code review, modular design, and crafting testable code suitable for production.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to design machine learning experiments and establish model performance metrics that align with business objectives.

• Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team setting.
