AI Computer Vision Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Work collaboratively with product managers to convert real-world challenges into effective CV/ML solutions that deliver measurable results.

• Create and develop computer vision and vision-language solutions utilizing both traditional methods and contemporary AI techniques.

• Enhance, implement, and maintain models in both cloud and edge environments, ensuring they are efficient and reliable.

• Set up evaluation frameworks for CV and VLM models, incorporating metrics for performance in real-world scenarios.

• Oversee deployed systems, troubleshoot problems, and update models with new data or enhanced architectures.

• Keep abreast of the latest research in computer vision and apply innovative techniques to enhance vision products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in software development.

• At least 3 years’ experience in building CV systems with Python or C++, focusing on real-time inference, deployment pipelines, and model optimization.

• Strong foundational knowledge of both classical CV and deep learning methodologies.

• Proficient in frameworks like PyTorch.

• Experience in designing and executing evaluation frameworks for vision and multimodal models.

• Proven track record in deploying production-level CV/ML systems.

• Familiarity with ML Ops practices for monitoring, logging, and maintaining deployed AI systems.

• Experience in the life sciences, healthcare, or technology sectors is advantageous.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English.

• Proficiency in French, both oral and written, is a plus.

• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without requiring sponsorship.
