AI Backend Engineer, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Develop agents using the platform's framework, which includes tool integration, interaction with the bank's internal APIs, state and conversation management, along with necessary guardrails.

• Deploy each agent to AWS, managing containers, CI/CD, permissions, networking, and adhering to the bank's security protocols.

• Establish and conduct evaluations prior to production deployment and utilize Langfuse for monitoring post-launch (focusing on quality, latency, and cost).

• Resolve technical and procedural challenges in collaboration with teams from Identity, Security, DevSecOps, and Networking.

• Create documentation and runbooks to enable the team to manage the agent autonomously, ensuring knowledge transfer before transitioning to the next team.

• Incorporate insights gained during each team rotation back into the platform, enhancing the agent template, deployment pipeline, and observability features.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, fast-paced financial environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience with at least one LLM-based agent or system successfully brought to production, utilizing LangGraph or a similar framework.

• More than 4 years of backend experience in Python, particularly with production services like FastAPI or other asynchronous frameworks.

• Competence in independently transitioning a service from the repository to production on AWS, covering containers, CI/CD, and observability.

• Familiarity with LLM evaluation techniques (evals, tracing, hallucination management) and agent observability tools (such as Langfuse).

• Regular engagement with AI development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor).

• Capability to rapidly integrate into a new team, grasp its context, and effectively resolve issues with both technical and business stakeholders.

• Strong communication skills along with a commitment to documentation and knowledge transfer of your work.

• Experience in the banking or fintech sector.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes and Terraform.

• Understanding of API security protocols (OAuth2/JWT).

• Familiarity with RAG and vector databases.

• Experience in building your own MCP servers.

• Proficiency in Spec-Driven Development.

• Previous role as an embedded client consultant or in a forward-deployed position.
