AI Architect

📋 Description

• Define the architecture and technical direction for AI capabilities throughout the product portfolio.

• Design and develop scalable AI solutions, encompassing agentic workflows, personalization, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), knowledge representation, and AI-driven customer experiences.

• Establish reusable patterns and standards for prompts, memory management, context handling, evaluation, and AI orchestration.

• Create prototypes and reference implementations while staying actively engaged in software development.

• Integrate AI capabilities across platforms such as .NET, Node.js, Go, and Java.

• Assess emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and infrastructures, including decisions on build versus buy.

• Collaborate with Platform Engineering and product teams to advance AI capabilities from concept to production.

• Provide architectural direction, conduct design reviews, and offer hands-on support to engineering teams implementing AI.

• Investigate new AI use cases and capabilities, such as agent harnesses, personalized content generation, and multi-channel processing (MCP).

• Identify actionable AI opportunities that deliver measurable value to customers and the business.

• Contribute to technical due diligence and assessments of AI capabilities for potential acquisitions.

• Set best practices for model selection, hosting, tenant isolation, data privacy, and responsible AI development.

• Collaborate with Legal, Information Security, IT, and Platform Engineering to ensure AI solutions comply with enterprise security, regulatory, and compliance standards.

• Lead a growing AI team while advancing next-generation capabilities across the SaaS platform portfolio.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in software engineering, with substantial responsibilities in architecture and technical leadership.

• Demonstrated experience in designing, deploying, and scaling production AI, machine learning, RAG, or agentic systems.

• Profound understanding of contemporary AI architecture, including large language model (LLM) applications, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), memory, context management, evaluation frameworks, knowledge graphs, ontologies, and other AI/ML techniques.

• Experience with agentic AI, orchestration of agents, agent harnesses, and MCP initiatives.

• Familiarity with graph databases, vector databases, knowledge representation frameworks, and semantic data models that support AI applications.

• Strong hands-on background in software engineering, with the capacity to stay actively involved in development.

• Experience in leading technical strategy, making architecture decisions, and formulating AI roadmaps.

• Capability to work across various technology stacks and integrate AI functionalities into existing platforms.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and executive stakeholders.

• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, dynamic SaaS environments.

• Experience in designing AI systems that utilize knowledge graphs, ontologies, semantic search, graph databases, and RAG architectures.

• Proficiency in Python, Node.js, or TypeScript.

• Experience with AWS and AWS Bedrock.

• Familiarity with evaluation platforms such as Braintrust, LangSmith, LangFuse, or similar tools.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
